Travel preparations

Monday, 9/15/08. We are trying to get everything ready for our big trip. We leave Thursday for Ukraine. Our appointment with the SDA is on Monday Sept 22 .... one week from today !

I've got a big big really big pile of most of the things we 'might' need for the trip. It's going to be Larry's job to figure out how to fit things into suitcases and the carry on bags and the difficult decision on what gets left at home. Do you think 3 bottles of tylenol will be enough ? ! ? !

Remember you have to haul everything that you pack around with you. We have been in Ukraine 3 weeks now-this is our second adoption, the first was in 2005. You can buy almost everything you need, except things to read and watch-you might be able to buy dvd's in English but we have never tried. Bring some warm clothes, it has cooled off a lot in the last few days, I put on my long underwear today-I get cold easily though. Cara www.norbycjukraineangel.blogspot.com

We had one carry on each and lasted eight weeks. We are going again this fall as well and are trying to do the same. We also got an Ukrainian cell phone in Kyiv so we could connect with our American friends there, and facilitator. Plus familya and friends can text msg. you for free from their computers at http://www.kyivstar.net/en/sms/, you just cant text back for free.
God Bless and Good Luck!

One bottle of tylenol, one bottle of dramamine and lots of pepto caplets!!! Those were the three items I have always needed during my three adoptions!
